As a seasoned Ethiopian general surgeon and medical director with over 12 years of experience, I share my leadership journey and vision for transforming healthcare in Africa. As Chief Clinical Officer and Director of Medical Services at Bethzatha Health Services Corporate, I have developed and implemented strategic plans, policies, and standards for clinical excellence, patient safety, and staff development.
With a strong background in general surgery, surgical innovation, and leadership, I have honed my skills in various academic and clinical settings. My educational pursuits include a Postgraduate Degree in General Surgery from Addis Ababa University.
Throughout this book, I share my core competencies in leadership, strategic planning, healthcare management, and clinical governance, highlighting my aspiration to become a key policy maker in African healthcare by 2030. This book serves as a guide for healthcare professionals, leaders, and aspiring policymakers, offering insights and strategies for improving healthcare delivery and shaping the future of healthcare in Africa.
